Glimmer Paper--SPARKLE without the mess!

I am not a big fan of GLITTER--it's way too messy for me!! BUT, this GLIMMER PAPER is gorgeous and offers you the "sparkle" with NO mess!!!! It is available in Silver or Red! What is really, really cool--you can color the silver using any ink reinker and an aqua painter!!! (darker colors work best as it does lighten when it dries!)
These cards were made by my upline, Jill Olsen and shared at an event in Utah. Great for your Christmas cards--but with color--you can use this paper year round for an easy way to get a "sparkle!"

Gently Falling Easel Card

I love this stamp set and these colors......I could stamp all day using them. Pretty soon I better get on to my Christmas cards though!!!

Here is a very simple Easel Card--see directions below for making the easel.

TO CREATE EASEL.....
*Use a piece of cardstock for the base that is 11" X 4 1/4"
*Using the Simply Scored, score your cardstock at: 5 1/2" and at 2"
*Attach "front layer" to 2” flap of card base—make sure to only put adhesive on the 2” piece of the vanilla—see picture to see how the card is folded and stands up
*Make sure to use "dimensionals" under the layer that is inside the card so that the card will stand up by "catching" on the raised edge!

Aprons Using Stampin' Up! Fabric

Check out these absolutely adorable aprons made using Tea Towels and Stampin' Up! Fabric & ribbon (for the ties)!!! They are super easy and super cute--only need basic sewing skills to make!

The Tea Towels used are 20" X 28". You can use towels that are a bit smaller if you want....but the bigger the better in my opinion.

Several people asked if I would sell kits/instructions to make--well--this is what I have decided to do!

If you purchase a package of Stampin' Up! fabric (page 196) (will make 3 aprons!) and at least one spool of the 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain (page 195) (enough for 2 aprons) through my website before October 30th, I will send you the instructions for FREE!

Witches Boot (Holiday Stocking Die)

I have had so many questions about this "Witches Boot" and how to make it, I thought I would attempt to show you how....normally I don't create instructions like this, so bear with me as I try to show & explain:
It is made using 2 different Big Shot Dies:
1. Holiday Stocking Die (in the Holiday Mini catalog, item #124098)
2. 3 1/2" Circle Die (pg 220, item #121811

Also used are 2 punches:
1. 1 3/4" Circle (pg 212, item #119850)
2. Word Window (pg 209, item $119857)
Using your Big Shot, cut out your pieces from BLACK (for the witches boot!) I am using contrasting colors so that you can see how it goes together.
Use your 1 3/4" circle punch to cut out a "notch" from the 3 1/2" circle as shown. Then adhere to the "stocking."
Cut as shown to create the heal--no magic here--just cut!

After you have glued the circle to the stocking, use the Big Shot and an Textured Impressions Folder--I used the Vintage Wallpaper folder (pg 219, item #120175)
Use the Big Shot to cut the "cuff" of the "boot" out of contrasting paper or cardstock. I used the MOCHA MORNING SPECIALTY PAPER (pg 183, item #122366) yum! yum!!!! Glue to the top of the boot!

For the "laces," punch out 2 Word Window's. I used the Silver Glimmer Paper in the Holiday Mini (pg 41, item #124055)
Cut each word window in half to create 2 laces and punch a small hole in the "rounded" end. Adhere to boot.
For this one, when I cut the "boot" I used a piece of cardstock that was folded, and cut so the fold stayed intact to create a card that opened. The top one I cut 2 and adhered the sides together to create a pocket.

There you have it--I think my first ever tutorial on my blog....hope it makes sense.

Quilting with the BIG SHOT

Remember last week when I was sharing incredible ideas using the new BIG SHOT HOLIDAY STOCKING DIE??? Well.......guess what? You can use it for QUILTING!!!! I have the fabric to make both of these quilts, so I will show you mine when I finish them....or maybe, if I remember, I will share pictures along the way!!!

The above quilt was made by Cindy Peterson in ONE DAY!!!!!! And I think it's the first one she ever made!!! I have the fabric--so watch for pictures of mine as I make it--CAN'T WAIT!!!!

The above quilt was made & designed by the fantastic Susan Adams!!! I LOVE HER QUILTS and actually, she is the one who I got the "kit from" to make mine!!!!

And one more.....do you see the Big Shot Die being used???? LOVE IT!!! I also have the fabric for this one, so stay tuned to see mine......I think I just need to lock myself in my house for a week to just SEW!!!!

I am not a big "Halloween" stamper, so want to share a few Halloween ideas that I took pictures of when I was at 2 different GREAT stamping events in Utah last week. These were either display's or trades from my uplines meeting (Jill Olsen) or at a stamping day at my friend--Susan Adams! I love the "cuteness" of Halloween, but I just have never really gotten into stamping Halloween things!!! But that might change with all the cute things I keep seeing. So, I hope you enjoy the next few days of Halloween ideas!

Over the next several days I want to share some FABULOUS samples made using the NEW Stocking Die for your Big Shot. These were all made by my upline Janet Baker and were on display at 2 different stamping events I was able to attend while in Utah (yes, I am still there!!!) I would have waited to post these until I got home to re-create, and then share my versions, but I was so excited to share, I thought I would just post my pictures (even though not the best pictures) and then, when I get home, I am sure I will make them and then I will post my versions! They are all so STINKIN' cute!!!

Greetings From Utah

I know you have not heard much from me lately, but I have been out in Utah for the past week. Stampin' Up! brought the top 100 demonstrators out for a fabulous 4 day retreat in St. George, Utah! They treated us like queens and I had a fabulous time. But more importantly, this is where my daughter goes to school--so for me, it's a FREE trip to come visit here! So, I am actually extending my stay and am out here for 16 days!!!! Since I know you come to this blog for stamping ideas, and obviously I have not been stamping for awhile, I will share some swaps I received from my Stampin' Friends at the Founders Circle retreat! I love it when I can swap with all the top demonstrators!!! I will share lot's over the next week or so.....I have over 100 of them!!!! So keep coming back to see what the top demonstrators are making!!!!

Stamp Shoppe Fun!

Today was our FIRST Monthly Stamp Shoppe!!! Fun was had by all. We had over 40 "stampers" who each made 6 different cards. (Well, a few made 12 cards because they brought friends!) If you want to join us next month, watch for information to be posted here (or email me and ask to be put on my email list so you will receive the information as soon as available.)

Stamp Shoppe is FREE if you come and place a $20 order! Otherwise it is just $15.

Over the next 6 days I will share with you the cards we made. If you place an on-line order between now and the end of the month, for at least $50, I will send you the instructions for all 6 cards! Simply email me after placing the order and request the instructions.

Card is 4.25 X 4.25 square--I like this size because I can still put in a regular envelope!
